Tom, a man who dreamed of more,
But fate held him back from life's open door. His youngest son, so far away, In America, where he longed to stay.
He watched from afar as his boy grew, Stronger and taller, just like him, it's true. But deep inside, he suffered much, For visas and interviews, he had no luck.
His son and wife, they lived in fear, Illegal in the land they held dear. Tom gave his consent for his boy to leave, But separation was hard to conceive.
As months went by, Tom's hope did fade, But his boy's green card arrived too late. Tom closed his eyes with a heavy heart, Knowing he'd never see his son's new start.
But in his heart, he knew it's true, That Ildri would make him proud, just like he knew. So, farewell, dear Tom, rest in peace, Your love and memories will never cease.
