Fable of the day

 The Tortoise and the Hare

One day, a hare was boasting about how fast he could run. He laughed at the slow-moving tortoise and said, "You will never be able to defeat me in a race!" The tortoise, though slow, was determined and replied, "We shall see. Let’s race and find out."

The hare, amused by the idea, agreed to the challenge. As the race began, the hare sprinted far ahead and, noticing how slow the tortoise was, decided to rest under a tree. "I have plenty of time to win," he thought, and soon fell asleep.

Meanwhile, the tortoise kept moving forward, slowly but steadily, without stopping. Eventually, he passed the sleeping hare and approached the finish line. Just as the hare woke up and dashed forward, it was too late—the tortoise had already crossed the finish line.

The tortoise turned to the hare and said, "Slow and steady wins the race."

Moral Lesson: Consistency and perseverance are more valuable than arrogance and speed alone.
