  1. If you want someone to like you, ask them for a small favor – Known as the Ben Franklin Effect, people like you more if they help you.

You meet a new coworker and want to build a good relationship with them. Instead of trying to impress them, you ask, "Hey, can you help me carry these papers?"

They agree to help, and without realizing it, their brain thinks, "I must like this person if I'm helping them." This makes them feel more positive toward you.
