To my mum,

In her hands, she held the world, A mother's love, forever unfurled. Her life was one of toil and pain, But in her heart, love remained.

She washed our clothes in summer heat, And in the cold, she never missed a beat. Her hands were always in the water, A mother's love, never to falter.

At work, she washed the children's plates, A humble job, that she never hates. Her days were spent just scraping by, A mother's love, that money couldn't buy.

She sold her blood for a little gain, A mother's love, that never waned. She had no days at school, no easy life, But her children thrived, and they shone bright.

She dreamt of a washing machine, A small wish, that her work could redeem. But fate had other plans in store, A tragedy that left our hearts so sore.

The nurse's mistake took her away, A mother's love, that no one can replace. We learned the truth, 15 years too late, A mother's love, that destiny sealed her fate.

But in our hearts, she lives on, A mother's love, that's never gone. Her green eyes, so kind and bright, A mother's love, that shines so right.

She cooked and cleaned with all her might, A mother's love, that never took flight. She sacrificed and gave her all, A mother's love, that stands so tall.

She was always there, so helpful and kind, A mother's love, that's hard to find. She never tired, and never said no, A mother's love, that forever glows.

In her hands, she held the world, A mother's love, forever unfurled.
