A grasshopper and an ant

Once upon a time, in a field on a hot summer day, a grasshopper was happily singing and playing while an ant was busy working to store food for the winter.

The grasshopper, seeing the ant's hard work, asked, "Why are you working so hard? Why don't you come and enjoy the beautiful weather with me?"

The ant replied, "I am storing food for the winter. You should do the same instead of playing all day."

The grasshopper laughed and said, "Winter is far away. There's plenty of time to prepare for it."

As the days went by, the ant continued to work hard while the grasshopper continued to play. However, when winter arrived, the grasshopper found himself with nothing to eat and nowhere to go. Desperate and hungry, he went to the ant's home and begged for some food.

The ant replied, "Why should I help you? You had all summer to prepare for winter, but you chose to play instead of working."

The grasshopper realized his mistake and begged for forgiveness. From that day on, he learned to work hard and prepare for the future.
