10. Lose and loose Dallimi midis “lose” dhe “loose”
Lose is an irregular verb (lose - lost - lost). Loose is the opposite of tight. It is an
adjective.
Humb eshte nje folje e crregullt (humb-humba-humbur). E lirshme eshte e kunderta e fjales e ngushte, e lirshme eshte nje mbiemer.
She needs to lose oodles of weight. (NOT She needs to loose oodles of
weight.)
Ajo duhet te bjere shume nga pesha. (JO Ajo duhet te lirshme peshe, nuk ka kuptim)
This shirt is loose for me. (NOT This shirt is lose for me.)
Kjo bluze eshte e lirshme per mua. ( JO Kjo bluze eshte humbur per mua, nuk ka kuptim)
