Nëse dëshirojmë të shtojmë një tjetër aspekt mohues pasi kemi përmendur më parë një ide ose një fakt tjetër mohues, përdorim strukturën not…either . Also, as well dhe too përdoren në këtë mënyrë zakonisht me not. 

• Peter isn’t here today. John isn’t here either.  (JO: John isn’t here also.) 

• I know you don’t like me. I don’t like you either.  (JO: I don’t like you too.) 

2. pohore + mohuese : also / as well / too 
   
   

Nëse pas një fakti apo mendimi pohues (jo-mohues) duam të shtojmë një ide mohuese të lidhur me idenë e parë, përdorim not…also…as well ose not…too. 

• He smokes too much, but at least he doesn’t also drink too much. 

• That day, for the first time since her husband had died a year before, she was glad that she had not died as well. 
• You can have an apple, but you can’t have an orange too. 

   alternate(ly) dhe alternative(ly) 

Alternate(ly) ka kuptimin ‘në mënyrë të alternuar’ , ‘një po një jo’ . 

• We spend alternate weekends at our country cottage. 
• I’m alternately happy and depressed.
