In linguistics, an adjective (abbreviated adj) is a word that modifies a noun or noun phrase or describes its referent. Its semantic role is to change information given by the noun. Adjectives are one of the main parts of speech of the English language, although historically they were classed together with nouns.

Out of the 2265 most frequently used words, 528 were identified as adjectives. However, 393 words were primarily used as adjectives, while the remaining 135 words were different types but could be used as an adjective. For example, the word "gold" is a noun, such as, "The price of gold is very high right now." However, it can also be an adjective, "The gold trims are beautiful." 

Because of the multiple meaning of words, the ordering of words were conducted by 1) taking the frequency of only adjective types, then 2) taking the frequency of (adjectives + other type), then finally 3) taking the frequency of (other type + adjectives).

An adjective is simply a word that describes or modifies a noun or pronoun. One kind of adjective is extremely easy to identify:

The steak is so delicious that he´s licking his lips.        

    Bifteku eshte aq I shijshem sa ai po lepin buzet.

There are thirty students in the class.                          

      Jane tridhjete student ne klase.

This house has six rooms.                                                

     Kjo shtepi ka gjashte dhoma.

I don´t like either hat.                                                     

      Une nuk pelqej asnje kapele.

Every muscle in her body was sore.                           

        Cdo muskul ne trupin e saj ishte I lenduar.

Which car are you going to buy?
