23  adverbs – ndajfoljet: vendi i tyre (hollësi)

1. Ndajfoljet bashkuese – connecting adverbs 
   
   

Këto ndajfolje lidhin/bashkojnë një fjali me atë cfarë vjen më parë. Shembuj: however, next, besides, anyway.  

Pozicioni: në fillim të fjalisë. 

• Some of us want to have a new system; however, not everybody agrees. 
• I worked until five o’clock. Then I went home. 

• Next, I want to say something about the future. 

Në të folurën më formale është i mundur shpesh herë edhe pozicioni qëndror. 

• I then went home. 

Ndajfolje e shpeshtësie të papërcaktuar – indefinite frequency 

Këto ndajfolje tregojnë sa shpesh ndodh dicka. Shembuj: always, ever, usually, normally, often, frequently, sometimes, occasionally, rarely, seldom, never. Pozicioni: qëndror (pas foljeve ndihmëse dhe pas am/are/is/was/were; përpara foljeve të   tjera .

• I have never seen a whale. 
• You can always come stay with us if you want to. 
• Have you ever played American football? 

am/are/is/was/were + ndajfolje 

• My boss is often bad – tempered. 
• I’m seldom late for work. 

ndajfolje + folje tjetër 

• We usually go to Scotland in August. 

• It sometimes gets very windy here. 

Kur foljet ndihmëse janë dy, këto ndajfolje vendosen zakonisht pas së parës. 

• We have never been invited to one of their parties. 
• She must sometimes have wanted to run away. 

Ndajfoljet usually, normally, often, frequently, sometimes dhe occasionally mund të vendosen si në fillim ashtu edhe në fund të fjalisë. Ndërsa 

always, ever, rarely, seldom dhe never zakonisht nuk mund të vendosen në këto pozicione. 

• Sometimes I think I’d like to live somewhere else. 
• Usually I get up early. (POR JO: Always I get up early; Never I get up early.) 
• I go there occasionally. 
• I go there quite often. (POR JO: I go there always.) 

Megjithatë, always dhe never mund të vendosen edhe në fillim të fjalisë. 

• Always look in the mirror before starting to drive. 
• Never ask her about her marriage. 

3. Ndajfolje fokusimi – focusing adverbs 

Këto ndajfolje ‘venë në shënjestër’ një pjesë të fjalisë. Shembuj: also,  , just,  , even , only  , mainly, mostly, either  , or, neither , nor   

Pozicioni: qëndror . Ato  mund të vendosen gjithashtu edhe në vende të tjera në fjali, menjëherë pas fjalës që ato modifikojnë/cilësojnë.

• He’s been everywhere – he’s even been to Antarctica. 

• We’re only going for two days. 

am/are/is/was/were + ndajfolje 

• She’s my teacher, but she’s also my friend. 
• The people at the meeting were mainly scientist. 

ndajfolje + folje tjetër 

• Your bicycle just needs some oil – that’s all. 
• She neither said thank-you nor looked at me. 

ndajfolje menjëherë përpara fjalë-s/ve të modifikuar/a 

• Only you could do a thing like that. 
• I feel really tired. 

• He always wears a coat, even in summer. 

Too dhe as well fokusojnë ndajfolje të cilat zakonisht vendosen në pozicion fundor.
