Special verbs: be and have (got) 


Be 


Be - The verb be is irregular. It has eight different forms: be, am, is, are, was, were, being, been. The present simple and past simple tenses make more changes than those of other verbs. 


Jam-Folja jam eshte e çrregullt.Ka tete forma te ndryshme: be, am, is, are, was, were, being, been.  Koha e tashme dhe koha e kryer e thjeshte bejne me shume ndryshime se ato te foljeve te tjera.

Have (got) 


Have (got) - used when one is making a definite and forceful statement that someone does not expect, know about, or agree with. 


Kam pasur- perdoret kur  dikush eshte duke bere nje deklarate te prere dhe te forte qe dikush nuk e prêt, nuk e di , ose nuk bie dakord me te.

  1. Have got means the same as have; we use them both to talk about possession and relationships. British people prefer have to when they speak and write informally. Americans often use have without got. 

Kam pasur ka te njejtin kuptim me kam; ne i  perdorim te dyja per te folur per zoterim dhe marredhenie. Britaniket preferojne te perdorin duhet te kur ata flasin dhe shkruajne ne nje gjuhe informale/jozyrtare. Amerikanet zakonish perdorin vetem “have” pa “got”. 


  1. With had, we do not use got so often. We often use did to make past questions and negatives (see below).  

Me foljen ‘have’ nuk e perdorim shpesh ‘got’. Shpesh ne perdorim ‘did’ per te formuar fjali pyetese dhe mohore ne kohen e shkuar. 


  1. We also use have to make the perfect tenses of each verb (see below). We don´t use got or do in this case. 

Ne gjithashtu perdorimkam’ per te formuar kohen e kryer te çdo folje. Ne kete rast ne nuk perdorim ‘got’ apo ‘ do.
