34. Close and shut
There is little difference of meaning between close and shut.
Ka pak ndryshim në kuptim midis close dhe shut.
• Shut/close your eyes.
• Mbylli sytë.
• Can you close/shut the door?
• A mund ta mbyllësh derën?
• They close/shut the shops at 8 o'clock.
• Ata i mbyllin dyqanet në orën 8.
Cases where close is preferred
Raste kur preferohet përdorimi i close.
We close (and not shut) roads, letters, bank accounts, meetings etc.
Ne përdorim close (dhe jo shut) për rrugë, letra, llogari bankare, mbledhje etj.
• You should close your existing account before opening a new account.
• Duhet ta mbyllësh llogarinë ekzistuese para se të hapësh një të re.
