 5. Adverb (Describes a Verb, Adjective, or Another Adverb)


An adverb describes how, when, where, or to what extent an action happens.

Examples: quickly, today, very, well

What to Know:

Many adverbs end in -ly (slowly, quietly).

They answer: How? When? Where? How often?

 She runs quickly. I’ll go tomorrow.
