Dallimi midis  “may” dhe “can” 

Can expresses ability.    Can (mund) tregon aftesi. 

· She can speak English.   Ajo mund te flase anglisht. (E zoteron kete aftesi) 

· He can play the piano.   Ai mund te luaje ne piano. (E zoteron kete aftesi) 

· Can you speak Hindi?    Mund te flasesh hindisht? 

Can is also used in the sense of may to give permission, though may is more 

correct. 

“Can” gjithashtu perdoret ne kuptimin e “may” pra per te dhene leje, gjithsesi “may” eshte forma me e sakte. 

You can take one of those books. OR You may take one of those books. 

Mund te marresh njerin nga keta libra. ( Pra, te lejohet ta marresh njerin nga librat) 

° You can go now. OR You may go now. 

Mund te shkosh tani.  

Nowadays, can is also being increasingly used to ask permission. 

Ditet e sotme,  perdorimi i “can” per te kerkuar leje po rritet. 

· 'Can I come in, Sir?' 

Mund te futem brenda  zoteri? (Kerkon leje per tu future brenda)
